The vacuum provides enough suction to work well on hardwoods/tile and carpets.
On floors and low pile carpet, the vacuum works great, but it doesn't work as well on thicker shag like carpet.

The dustbin is easy to empty and large enough for once through a large house.
The storage canister is decently large and can handle a small footprint house without needing to be emptied. However, for a larger house, I may need to empty the canister in the middle and at the end of the vacuuming, depending on how often I use the vacuum.
