Overall Feedback:
74% positive
79% liked the battery life, but 21% found it didn't last
The battery life of uninterruptible-power-supply-ups should last at least a year or two depending on the temperatures at which I use them. The batteries are readily available these days and usually come in 700-900 Amp hour capacity.
This is the first home battery I've used that keeps my computer running after losing power.
The battery was dead because it had been sitting on a shelf somewhere for too long, as told by tech-support.
I used the product for about 12 months after which it suddenly stopped working.
I faced compatibility issues with the UPS as the plugs are very close together and my modem and router have wider power packs, which prevents me from plugging in my PC or monitor.
77% appreciated the response time, while 23% experienced a delay
During a recent power outage, I noticed that the UPS kept my PC running for 20-30 minutes as indicated by the display.
During any brownout, my PC shuts down in less than 2 seconds because of the UPS.
During a power outage, the UPS kept my PC running for 20-30 minutes according to the display.
The UPS provides a buffer period to prevent the desktop PC from shutting off completely during power flickers. It also allows a safe shutdown window of 5-15 minutes depending on the PC specs during a full outage.
I lost important work multiple times a day because the UPS shut off my computer. The response time of the UPS is not good.
72% appreciated the control features, while 28% found them confusing
The extra data connection to the NAS is great as it allows the NAS to know if it is running on battery and perform a controlled shutdown.
Even after turning down the sensitivity control, APC threw an event for under-voltage and went on battery. This indicates that the control features of our UPS are not effective.
89% liked the durable construction, but 11% found it flimsy
These UPS are perfect for keeping power surges and spikes off the equipment and keeping things running until the generator kicks in.
I have been using this UPS for around 2 1/2 - 3 years and had to leave it behind due to its weight and cost of shipping across the US.
The durability of the UPS depends on whether we have enough power to support our equipment for the desired time off of mains power.
With the UPS, I was able to finish my project even when the power went out.
As a backup power source, the UPS did not last for even 3 hours.
88% praised the high power capacity, while 12% found it insufficient
The power capacity is nice and it's in a smaller profile than prior models of the same capacity.
The capacity of the device is not mentioned in the description/specs.
I have had plenty of completely unannounced blackouts on my PC where everything just shuts off. No beeping, no battery response, nothing. Complete shutdown.
76% found it whisper-quiet, while 24% thought it was loud
I was hoping for a quiet UPS for my recording studio control room, but the device emits a constant 8kHz tone around 25dB when on AC power/charging, with harmonics around 10kHz in an otherwise silent room.
Whether I save files or not, my PC loses power.
I am disappointed with the product as it has caused more problems than it has solved and was not worth the investment.

I wanted a surge-protector and an uninterruptible power supply to keep my internet router running during small power glitches at home.
