The extra data connection to the NAS is great as it allows the NAS to know if it is running on battery and perform a controlled shutdown.
Even after turning down the sensitivity control, APC threw an event for under-voltage and went on battery. This indicates that the control features of our UPS are not effective.

I have had plenty of completely unannounced blackouts on my PC where everything just shuts off. No beeping, no battery response, nothing. Complete shutdown.

I was hoping for a quiet UPS for my recording studio control room, but the device emits a constant 8kHz tone around 25dB when on AC power/charging, with harmonics around 10kHz in an otherwise silent room.
Whether I save files or not, my PC loses power.
I am disappointed with the product as it has caused more problems than it has solved and was not worth the investment.
