I have purchased this bag of wooden beads twice now and have no complaints. It has several sizes and a lot of beads for the price, even though they can be costly sometimes if you want a variety of colors and sizes.
The unfinished wood is exactly what I needed - solid and perfect.

I suggest painting the wooden beads by adding paint to a ziplock bag, squishing them around until they are fully covered, and then drying them on wax paper or parchment paper.
I did not mention anything related to moisture content of unfinished-wood.
