With the new antenna and cable, I am getting 50 channels mounted only 12 above ground. This is a big improvement.
Inside the house, the signal is weak but it is strong outside the window.
Powered antennas amplify weaker TV signals to make them usable at TV, but they also amplify hash and noise on those frequencies.
In a good signal area, the antenna performs well, but in a medium to medium low signal range location, it performs less effectively.

I installed the antenna in the attic and found the reception to be average. My metal roof was impacting the antenna's ability to get the signal. I reinstalled the antenna outside on the eve of my roof and got all the channels in my area with signal strengths of around 80%.
The antenna is approximately 13 feet high and provides crystal clear reception for all the local channels I wanted.
I experienced no signal loss or pixelation with the antenna even in downpour.
I installed the UHD-3968 antenna and it provided 111 channels with most above 70% signal quality, exceeding my previous antenna.

Living in the Chicago suburbs about 30 miles from the towers, I'm not sure about the range of the antenna, but it works great for me.
The signal is strong outside the window, but it doesn't work indoors, and it suffers at night.
I was able to get reception from Mt Wilson VHF UHF transmitter, which is 90 miles away, by attaching a preamp to the antenna. The preamp options are Channel Master or Cekay.
I was able to pull in 9 additional channels because of the preamplifier.

I bought a new antenna named Cekay and used it in conjunction with the old one. It worked perfectly when I pointed it at a second set of towers.
I pointed the antenna in a compromising direction and it works perfectly with no pixelation on any channel even in rain.
I found not having a rotation feature to be an advantage when selecting this model. The antenna has a broad reception area, so direction adjustment is unnecessary.
I like the antenna because it is directional and can be aimed directly at the tower's direction.
