About 1 BY ONE Outdoor TV Antenna 360° Omni-Directional Reception Long 100+ Miles Range Enhance VHF&UHF 4K Ready HDTV Antenna
65% found it multi-directional, nevertheless, 35% experienced signal loss
The antenna has directional factors, so I may need to experiment with turning it to get all channels in the area.
After installing the new omnidirectional antenna, I can now receive all channels available for free in my area.
I was disappointed with the claim of signal from any direction. I bought this antenna with the main purpose of getting all the stations I got with the past straight antenna, without having to position and maybe I could even keep it in the house and not have to climb to the peak to install. However, I found that it did not work as advertised and the direction, position, and angle of the antenna all impacted even the basic channels that I could get quite easily with most any of the advertised antennas.
66% appreciated its compatibility with other TV models, although 34% didn't
I am running 4 TVs off of a single feed and each TV has the same levels of signal. The manufacturer says it is only for 1 television, but that appears to be geared to selling you an antenna for each TV you hook up. It seems to out-perform on this point.
The antenna is not recommended as it is not compatible with a wide range of TV models and has false claims on reception capabilities.
70% found it weather resistant, but 30% encountered issues
I am dissatisfied with the weather resistance of the antenna as it is not waterproof and allows water to enter inside.
The antenna we were replacing had become brittle due to exposure to various weather conditions.
82% were satisfied with the signal boosting power
I increased the number of stations from 6 to 26 by trial and error and rescanning many times.
I believe that adding a better quality pre-amplifier made by GE improved the reception. After substituting the supplied pre-amp with the GE model, the picture quality of the more distant channels was now equivalent to the closer broadcast channels.
69% liked the signal strength, however 31% faced connectivity issues
I replaced the supplied pre-amp with a GE model and found that the picture quality of distant channels was now equivalent to closer broadcast channels.
I faced issues with the signal strength of my antenna. I thought my '100 mile range' antenna would receive the towers 33 miles away on top of the highest point in the state because there is a thick group of pine trees in the general direction of the other towers. But, I was wrong. With my incorrect assumption firmly in place, I proceeded to mount this on top of a two-story house above the trees with a clear line of sight to the towers 33 miles away.... and I didn't pick up the stations.
67% were satisfied with the signal range, but 33% experienced dropouts
I was able to lock in 38 channels, including distant ones that were 50+ miles away from my location.
I have used the antenna and found that it can pick up stations from a tower 46 miles away in 1080p. However, it seems unlikely that it can pick up towers from 100 miles away as claimed without obstruction and with so much power that it would harm wildlife.
