About Dogtra 1900S / 1902S Remote Training Collar
Overall Feedback:
85% positive
77% appreciated the adjustable settings
I successfully adjusted the level of the training collar from 22-25 to 8.
I used the shock once at low frequency and it was effective.
75% were satisfied with the long battery life, but 25% experienced rapid drainage
The battery life of the collar and remote is around 1-2 days and 2-3 days respectively, which is in line with my expectations.
I have noticed that the battery life of this training collar is not as good as my previous one that lasted for 10 years.
I expected more battery life from the product based on the price I paid.
83% liked the comfortable design, but 17% reported skin irritation
I used the shock once and found it effective at low frequency.
I feel bad putting the collar on my 55lb dog, indicating it may not be comfortable for larger dogs.
82% liked for its durability
I am satisfied with the durability of this training collar. It has been able to withstand the strong and stubborn nature of my dog, which I had lost hope with a cheaper unit.
I find the price of the Dogtra collar steep, but it is worth it.
76% found the remote control easy to use, but 24% reported signal interference
The remote control has buttons like boys listening, good boy, and very good boy.
I tried the shock setting on myself at various levels to feel what my dog would feel. Based on my experience, the remote control of the training collar can be challenging.
After 7-8 months of ownership, my remote control barely holds a charge for an entire day, even though I rarely use the shock mode.
I received a shock while removing the collar and my girlfriend received another shock about a minute later. This indicates that the remote control of the training collar is not safe to use.
85% liked the variety of size options, but 15% wished for more custom sizes
I never have to go above about 20 on the collar setting to get my attention and stop trying to attack other dogs.
I was surprised at the length of the shock prongs and had to find the proper collar adjustment hole to ensure adequate prong contact without causing the prongs to dig in. This indicates that the collar size options may not be suitable for all dogs, and I had to adjust the collar accordingly.
I do not like the size of the receiver that goes on my dog's neck. It is substantially larger and heavier than my previous collar.
72% liked the water-resistant design
The collar works fine even when damp or in light rain.
The Mini Educator has made training sessions easy for me. The range of stimulation levels allows for precise adjustments, ensuring my puppy responds without discomfort.
I had a collar with a clasp instead of a belt to tighten. Not sure if it's a newer model or not.
