About Theo Klein Victorinox 9.6092.1 Pocket Knife Toy
Overall Feedback:
90% positive
95% praised the durability, while 5% found it broke easily
The toy has lasted for more than two months despite my child not being gentle with it, indicating its durability.
The toy is very sturdy and has lasted a long time. My grandson loved it and my younger brother wanted one too. My daughter-in-law confirmed its durability.
I have found the toy to be durable, as it has held up to a high amount of abuse.
I was expecting something more sturdy than this toy, but it turned out to be a bulky piece of flexible plastic.
84% found it easy for little hands to use
I can easily pull each item out of their slots and even my 2-year-old can do it.
I found the toy-construction-tools easy to use and learned how to use each tool with specific examples. However, I recommend using only the saw and bottle opener/flathead screwdriver for pretend play.
I modified the toy by replacing the plastic clips with carabiners from the dollar store, making it easy for me to clip it to my belt loop.
My favorite part of the knife is the fork and spoon. I now use it to eat my cereal and dinner.
My 4-year-old son is proud to use the knife and keeps it everywhere. He told his little sister that knives are not toys, but this one is safe for him to use so he can be like his father when he is bigger.
87% liked the educational benefits
This toy-construction-tool is a fun tool for learning and can be useful for outdoor trainers, Scout leaders, Adventure Educators, and parents.
I suggest that the toy is a good choice for kids and they will be very happy if you can make excuses for them to use it.
I knew my grandson was too young for a pocket knife.
The toy is easy to use, even a 2-year-old can operate it.
93% found it portable, but 7% didn't
This product is a good gift for a 3-year-old, but it is not portable as it does not fit in their pocket.
The toy is too large to fit in my pocket.
91% liked the safety features, although 9% found them inadequate
I noticed that my 4yr old son is using a safe knife and telling his sister that it's not a toy, but he can use it to be like daddy when he's bigger.
The toy-construction-tools were bigger than they should have been, but the seller did not seem to care.
I suggest that the saw and bottle opener/flathead screwdriver are only for pretend play, as they may not be safe for actual use.
The saw, knife, and can opener/screwdriver are not safe to use as they bend easily and are not sturdy.
I received a toy-construction-tool and a take-a-part airplane as birthday gifts. The airplane lets me assemble an actual toy using plastic bolts and an electric drill instead of just screwing bolts in and out of a piece of fake wood.
There is a streak of white paint on the plain wood part and a clump/drip of white paint on the painted part. It is unclear if this is a one-time defect or a general issue with our product's durability.
I find the workbench adorable and interactive, which may encourage creativity in babies/toddlers.
