The packaging was very thoughtful and interesting, with a card and artistic emblems, and the leather sheath was in a linen bag with a leather draw cord.
The leather is a nice color and smooth finish, but it is too small to cover an axe head.
I put the rubber blade protectors on the hatchet and soaked the sheath in sheeplanolin to stretch it.
I bought this one because I was not sure if it would fit my competition axe, but it is a perfect fit and I will have to get more.
It was not too small, but it was hard to put on, and not too loose. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to pack a hatchet in their pack and not cut up their other items.
Question & Answers
I tried to find out the belt loop size, but it wasn't helpful. I went to the website and it didn't give me any information.
It is about 2 3/4 inches.
Will this fit a helko werk Germany hatchet?
I don't own a Rheinland hatchet, but by the specifications it should fit, maybe a little bit large.
Does this fit a cold steel trail boss?
I'm going to send mine back and look for another one that might fit, because it's too small for the ax.
Is it made in the US?
I received it very dry, but I think it was from Guatemala.
Where is the size chart?
There was no size chart; I guess it was the boy scout hand axe that I purchased in 1965, but it fit perfectly.
