We have bought a few different covers, but this one Warm-n-Comfy Soft Fabric Toilet Seat Cover is the one we think will last the longest.
It works so well that I have purchased two more, one for an additional bathroom and the other to switch out when I am done with it. You will not be disappointed as it has added years to my life as I do not have the heart.
I purchased these from Hong Kong several years ago and I am happy to see that there is a similar product on Amazon.

I'm not sure, but any kind of semi-hard plastic/vinyl tubing would work. Measure the amount you need and then head there to be able to handle it.
