About Contigo Spill Proof 14oz Tumbler with Straw and BPA-Free Plastic
Overall Feedback:
81% positive
64% liked the colorful and fun design, but 36% found it too childish
I recommend the Leighton version from Contigo instead of this cup due to its unsatisfactory design.
The vent is difficult to clean.
The pink cup is leaking between the pink plastic and the blue silicone, with milk stuck between the two. This indicates a problem with the cup's design and aesthetics.
68% praised for its durable construction, while 32% experienced breakage
I have used the cups daily for the last 5 months and 3 of them are cracked and leaking.
If a toddler drops or knocks over the cup, the lid can split.
The straw comes apart while inside the cup and the bottom part randomly unscrews.
I prefer another brand of cup with a soft straw because I worry about my kid getting jabbed in the mouth/gums if they trip or if the stroller goes over a bump while they are drinking from it.
After 4 months of water-only use, some mold started growing under the lid.
69% liked how easy it was to clean, but 31% found it challenging
I'm glad I found this cup with an easy-to-clean design and a hard straw that my child can't chew through.
The cup is easy to wash as the straw unscrews into two pieces and can be cleaned with a straw brush set or put in the dishwasher.
The cups are easy to clean and 99% spill proof. My kids also like them.
I am bothered that the bottom of the cup does not come off and there is no way to clean between the cup and the bottom piece.
69% appreciated the comfortable grip
The cup is leak proof and my toddler cannot unscrew the top yet.
68% praised for its excellent spill proofing, while 32% experienced occasional leaks
The seal protector in the lid can grow mold, so I check it every time I wash it to ensure it is clean and dry.
The blue straw leaks because the seal at the seam doesn't sit flush between the two halves.
If the cup is dropped or knocked over by a toddler, the seal of the cup can split and the lid can leak around the top where the seal is. Additionally, the bottom of the cup may come loose and start leaking.
After daily use for 5 months, 3 out of 4 cups are cracked and leaking.
The colors of my toddler-cups have held up pretty well even though I don't put them in the dishwasher.
