I usually use the toaster on setting #4 and after comparing the toasts with the browning chart, my toasts look like the #6.
I adjusted the browning setting to 2 and the toast is nicely browned.
It takes some trial and error to get the setting right, but once I learn which setting I like, it toasts great.
The dial on my toaster is not working well for adjusting the lightness or darkness.

The toaster is easy to clean and toasts consistently. It would be a five star toaster if it had a higher quality, more opaque body.
The toaster is easy to clean and maintain. It is compact, quiet, odorless, and gets only slightly warm on the outside. It looks perfect in my kitchen and toasts everything beautifully and evenly in the 3 - 5 setting range.
Cleaning the toaster is just as easy as using it, despite the common problem of toasters not providing reasonable access for cleaning.

I started with 4 out of 7 on the heat setting and the toast was almost burnt. I complained about the temperature control. Now, I have it set at 2 and it is nicely browned.
