When the time is under a minute, my students know time is almost up because the numbers turn red.
The timers are large enough to be read from across the room, making it easy to set and forget without relying on one person to keep track of time.
I find most timers annoying because they have to be clicked one per second. However, this timer has different increments to choose from, including 1Hour, 5Minute, 1 minute and 1 second.
The countdown function not starting to count up when it reaches zero is the most important feature for me.

I am still testing the battery life, but found the biggest timer display that is battery-powered and rechargeable.
I haven't used the timer for more than a day, so I can't comment on the battery life. But it turned on straight out of the box, which was awesome.
When I set the brightness to the middle level, the timer gets about 8 hours of use from a full charge.
When I first started using it, the battery life was only a couple of hours.
