Taking out the battery for a second works. It's a minor inconvenience for a solid product that delivers the goods.
In that mode, the batteries of the timer have lasted for over a year.
I haven't needed to replace the battery yet.
I like the backlighting feature of the timer, but I don't like that it turns off after a few seconds, which could be related to the battery life.

It is very easy and quick to use.
I found it easy to set up the clock and the timer is also easy to use.
Setting it is easier than setting an alarm clock for short naps and varied wake up times.
The combination of buttons to operate the timer is a bit confusing. It would have been better if there was a start/stop button for each timer.

I can hear the timer from another floor of the house and from a far distance away because it has a nice and loud volume.
The medium volume setting is audible in another room over 20-25 feet away with the door open. The high volume setting is noticeable in the next room over even with the door closed, but not on another floor.
The device has three volume levels: Very Loud, Too Loud, and Way Too Loud.
I found the timer too loud when I received it, making it difficult to use. However, after using it a few times, I updated my review to say that the volume is much better now.
