A 50% success rate is unacceptable as half of the timers do not work properly.
I find these timers a bit less reliable than others. One of the timers beeped once when the time went to zero, then somehow cancelled itself and stopped beeping.
As soon as I put in the battery, 5 out of 6 timers were functional, but one was not.
