About SIMPLE TOUCH Auto Shut-Off Safety Outlet
Overall Feedback:
90% positive
86% liked the compatibility
While charging a cordless tool, I set the timer to an hour and for using the Bluetooth speaker and charging my phone, I set it to always on.
73% appreciated the customization options, although 27% didn't
I suggest that the first click of the button should be the shortest time on choice.
64% liked its compact design, but 36% thought it was bulky
The timer is easy to set for an hour or so and forget, but it tends to get hot.
These timer-switches are a lifesaver as they prevent the house from burning down or melting something and are reasonably priced.
I faced two issues while using the timer-switch. Firstly, it was not sitting fully in the outlet and as a result, the unit gets powered off while trying to press the button. Secondly, it seemed like the unit is turning off when making the selections.
93% found it easy to program, while 7% faced difficulties
The timer is compact and easy to use. I can plug it into an outlet and set it to turn off an electric device after a certain amount of time.
The timer-switches are easy to operate with a single button for selecting timed options or to keep it on hold.
I suggest that the first click of the button should be the shortest time on choice, as the whole point of having this is to keep something on for a short period of time.
80% appreciated the remote control, but 20% faced issues
I find this product easy to use and intuitive, and am using it to control a bathroom exhaust fan.
Pressing it once switches it to permanent on and subsequent presses enable timers for 10, 20, and more minutes.
This timer is compact, easy to use and can be set to turn off an electric device after a certain amount of time.
I suggest that the first click of the button should be the shortest time on choice, but instead it keeps the unit on.
When I press the button once, the appliance powers on and stays on indefinitely, making the remote control useless.
85% praised the safety features
I bought this timer-switch as a safety feature for my immersion bucket water heater and it is working fine.
I installed the timer switch in my shop for the safety feature of not overcharging cordless tool batteries.
The timer switch is perfect for setting the timer to 30 minutes, which removes poisonous air particles from the bathroom and notifies me to get off the toilet.
85% praised the accurate timing
I tested the timer-switches for 10 and 60 minutes and found that the lamp shut off at the appropriate time.
I found that the switch does not require a neutral wire, but if you have one, the fourth wire is for it. I was initially unsure of what to do with it, but eventually figured it out.
The timer switch may not work with a double plate switch cover, but it should be fine for a single box/plate installation.
