I find the lotion effective in keeping my skin moisturized, preventing it from getting reddened or dry, maintaining my tan, and keeping my skin feeling and looking soft.
The lotion is sheer and light but did not provide much of a boost to my daily tan. I tan regularly, so it may help someone trying to build up their tan.
