With a Lithium Cell, the throw and brightness of the light improves.
I put a label on the side to remind of the clicks needed for lower light and strobe functions.
I kept the default settings, but the flashlight has a nice feature to program the lighting modes.
I find that the three programed settings (high/low/strobe) are sufficient for my use, indicating that the flashlight was designed with user applications in mind.

The light is surprisingly bright for its size.
I compared the brightness level of two tactical flashlights and found that this one is much brighter than the other, despite both claiming 1000 lumens.
82% appreciated the beam distance
The flashlight has been on for 6 1/2 hours and it is still bright enough for me to easily find something in my tent.
The high beam is used for seeing far away or looking for something, while the low beam is used for working and needing a light to see what I am doing.

I found that the flashlight has great battery life and it is easy to obtain and store backup replacements for the CR123As.
I found that the flashlight throws a decent distance but gets washed out in brighter light with AA cells. Using CR123 will make it better.
I charge my battery once a week and it works for my application, but I can't report on its life.
The battery life is great even when I use it 80% of the time on high mode. It's a win that it uses commonly available AA batteries.
