I can explain how mode 2 works. It provides 300 lumens for 8 hours straight.
I have explained the modes and functions of the tactical flashlight, including how to activate low and high modes and get momentary mode of high and low.
I have faced issues with the pressure switch of my tactical flashlight. The switch has a single bar type button that allows on/off illumination and a long hold and release keeps the light on. This becomes an issue because during room clearing or where light disciple is critical, the light stays constantly on due to the function of the pressure switch. The switch also attaches to the base of the light magnetically, but has a poor locking feature. It locks by pushing up on the magnetic base, but easily comes undone if accidentally pulled rearward during rifle manipulations or if it is bumped. Olight needs to create a better lock for this.

With the flashlight, I can light up my entire field and into the tree line about another 10 yards.
When I took the flashlight out to the woods outside my house at night, it flooded the entire space to at least 200 ft. or more.
I accidentally activated the beam distance and it burnt a hole in my pocket due to its high intensity.
The flashlight has a special TIR lens design that produces a tight light pattern with a nice round beam that throws far out at distance.

For self defense, it's perfect but not for long term use as the battery life tapers off from 2000l to 300l with a runtime of 6-8hrs.
The battery life is decent, but it drains fast when running on high.
The battery life of my tactical flashlight is very poor. I left the light on my rifle with a full charge and stored the gun away during my vacation, but when I took it out to qualify, the light was dead.
I have an issue with the battery life of the flashlight. It takes over 5 hours to charge the battery when it's completely dead.
