About Nitecore EDC27 3000 Lumen Flat EDC Flashlight
Overall Feedback:
79% positive
71% highlighted the modes and functions, while 29% disagreed
The screen provides an estimated remaining run time in the current mode.
The quick-access self defense high beam tail switch button is the most important feature for me.
I was looking for a flashlight with a strobe option, but unfortunately, it was not part of the cycle of light modes. It's frustrating when I turn on a flashlight and it starts strobing when I need a steady light.
The flashlight gets warm for 10 seconds in 3K turbo mode, but it's expected due to the brightness.
I dislike the mode selection method on this light and compared it with Nitecores P-series flashlights.
I have to consciously regulate my thumb pressure to only change brightness without accidentally turning it off.
The flashlight has partial press and full press buttons, as well as half lock and full lock modes. However, it is confusing and not cleanly set up.
77% liked the brightness levels, but 23% disagreed
I use one button for both power and changing the brightness level.
I find myself constantly re-adjusting the brightness as it changes when the button gets half clicked. The brightness level goes from 1000 lumens to 15 lumens.
Switching between brightness levels is sometimes impossible and difficult.
81% appreciated the beam distance
When fully charged on hypermode, I can illuminate up to 150ft in front of me with the flashlight.
The flashlight is brighter than an Escalade's hi beams in the dead of night.
I used the flashlight to point 3,000 lumens at the truck drivers who were blinding me with their high-beams.
The beam shape and light output are great for an EDC light. The beam pattern remains pretty much the same whether I'm holding the light horizontally or vertically.
71% were satisfied with the battery life, but 29% raised concerns
After 3 months of daily use, I can say that the battery life is great.
I wish the battery life was better for trips, but the amazing dimensions of the device make up for it.
I can adjust the power levels using my thumb instead of fiddling with my pinky.
