I wanted a quiet sound of running water in my office, but initially, the fountain was nearly silent. I noticed a black plastic restrictor inside the hose that runs from the pump to the top bowl and removed it using a tool. After removing the restrictor, the fountain now generates a delightful trickle.
The fountain is practically silent. I can only hear it buzzing if I put my ear next to it and only when the water level in the bottom gets too low.
