About BOSCH 10 In. Worksite Table Saw with Gravity-Rise Wheeled Stand 4100XC-10
Overall Feedback:
79% positive
71% liked the flexibility of the saw, though 29% found the adjustment process tedious
Adjusting the riving knife was a bit difficult as the zero indicator was off and the piece rotated clockwise while tightening the screw. However, the knife was perfectly aligned with the blade and the blade was parallel to the miter slot at 90 degrees.
I have complained that the fence of my table saw is not square and parts fall off, making it impossible to align.
Rephrased: My table saw's fence is not square and parts fall off, making it impossible to align.
I had to adjust everything to get it near the accuracy I want/need.
67% praised for its solid construction
I have a saw of top quality that is a work of art. My friend regretted his purchase after seeing it. I am currently keeping it in my living room.
I have been in the DIY and hardware power tools for most of my life and have worked for True Value Hardware, Home Depot and other leading Hardware retailer. I used to swear by DeWalt and Black and Decker in the 80s, then they got cheap and went overseas, then I was a Makita Man in the 90s and still use mostly their power tools but never liked their table saws after 95. Having worked for Home Depot in the past 10 years up to 4 years ago I have always been aware of the quality of Bosch Power tools and when my need to have a portable table saw came about, I researched the as with other lesser-known brands and decided I would purchase this BOSCH 10 In. Worksite Table Saw with Gravity-Rise Wheeled Stand 4100XC-10.
72% praised for its precise cuts, while 28% experienced minor deviations
I had to use a speed square to check if the fence is straight because the table saw is not cutting straight. The fence is not consistent on which side it favors and tightening the fence adjustment knob didnt help.
72% found it easy to operate
I appreciate the ease of setup and operation of the table saw. It has a relatively quiet operation and table adjustments. It can also be easily folded and stored when not in use.
73% appreciated its powerful motor, though 27% found it struggled with hard woods
I am disappointed with the motor power of the table-saw. It is a cheap part in a vital area that spoils the overall quality of the tool.
77% liked the compact and portable design
This saw is a great buy if you need a portable jobsite saw.
66% liked the built-in safety features
The safety features of this saw, such as the riving knife, anti kick back dogs, and double sided guard/shield, are well designed and easy to deploy.
Adjusting the riving knife was a bit difficult as the zero indicator was off and the piece rotated clockwise while tightening the screw. However, the knife was perfectly aligned with the blade and the blade was parallel to the miter slot at 90 degrees.
The height adjustment wheel lacks a locking feature.
