I add half a bottle of the product to the pool after balancing the pH and chlorine levels, and then run the pump on recirculate overnight.
I applied the product by pouring half the container into a plastic watering can and walked around the edge of the pool pouring its content along the side walls.

I suggest adding an instruction step to dump the content into a bucket with pool water, swish around to dissolve, and then pour around the outside of the entire pool.
