When used correctly, the product causes micro particles to bloat and glom together, forming larger debris that can be caught by the filter, making it safe for swimmers.
At our vacation rental property, the spa sees heavy use and we have little control over whether or not guests enter the hot tub with lotions on and suits full of detergent/fabric softener. This causes a nightmare for us and indicates that the product is not safe for swimmers.
