The quality of the cameras is wonderful with crystal clear night vision. I caught a guy stealing a bike at 3 AM and the police found him in 2 days.
In total darkness, I can only see 10-15 feet away with the night vision, but it's okay if there is ambient light.

With 4K resolution, I can read license plates from a reasonable distance and zoom in to see every detail. The image quality of the 4K cameras is outstanding. Although the human detection worked well and detected a friend coming over at night, it did not detect a deer on our porch the next morning.
