I landed on these mounts based on the clearance the camera had to move in the gimble-like mount, giving me an enormous number of options for directing the cameras at desired locations.
This item provides great maneuverability and can lock into position, but it's not recommended for commercial cameras due to weight capacity limitations.
I purchased this product for its low profile mount and plan to use only the "head" portion on the overhang soffit near my front door. I will need to make a mounting adapter but am sure it will work fine for my needs.

I am concerned about the stability of the product, particularly the materials used, which are typical of mass-production items from China. It is advised not to drop it from any height as it may sustain damage easily.
