About SABRE Tactical Series Stun Gun with LED Flashlight, Maximum Strength 2.517 µC Charge
Overall Feedback:
85% positive
63% found it ergonomic, but 37% experienced discomfort
I reordered the black one because the light switch on the tan colored one broke the second time I used it.
The unit is not well balanced in my hand, but its shape makes it a fair substitute for a roll of quarters when throwing a punch.
66% highlighted the range and effectivenes, yet 34% experienced limitations
If you touch the stun gun 6 to 8 inches apart simultaneously, the charge will jump through your body from one to the other.
After using the flashlight for only 5 minutes, it started to dim considerably. Similarly, the stun gun went from all the metal electrodes electrified to just one electrode after the initial charge.
Both the Sabre and the Ruger/Sabre are dangerous weapons. It is unwise to trust a manufacturer of any dangerous weapon that does not make instructions easily available.
I found it difficult to get information about the stun gun's charging on the seller's website.
63% appreciated the activation mechanism, although 37% found it cumbersome
When I activate the device, it produces a loud cracking noise that can deter or break most animals' concentration.
After trying the stun gun for the first time, all the metal electrodes were electrified. But after the initial charge, it went to just one electrode.
To activate the stun gun, I find it difficult to locate the right buttons and the flashlight needs to be turned off.
63% were satisfied with the safety featureshowever, 37% encountered concerns
I recommend storing the stun-gun in a safe place away from children as it can act like a normal flashlight and only a small switch on the back end prevents it from zapping.
I purchased a stun gun for safety during hikes, but it failed on its first use due to a 2.5-foot fall out of my pocket.
I suggest adding a sliding switch to the stun-gun that needs to be held with the shock button for safety.
76% liked the voltage output, but 24% found it unstable
After using the flashlight for only 5 minutes, it started to dim considerably. Additionally, the stun gun only had one electrified electrode after the initial charge.
I have not tested the stun function in an actual situation, but it seems like a good potential defense.
