I bought the stun gun for protection and I like its shape as it is easier to hold than the rectangular one. It feels more secure in my hand and flipping the switch with my thumb and pulling the trigger to zap someone is very intuitive and natural and not awkward like the rectangular one.
My wife was disappointed that the stun-gun did not have a wrist strap with a safety pin to disable the unit if snatched from her.
