I find it fairly accurate in finding the wood stud but not 100% accurate.
I found that the stud finder was not accurate enough and could only locate the general area of the stud.
The stud finder is very inaccurate. I attached photos to prove it and poked a hole through the wall to verify. After multiple tries, the results were 1 inch to 1/4 of an inch off the actual edge of the stud.
