I haven't needed high speed yet, but this thing works well on the low setting.
The machine has 2 speeds which conserves battery when high speed is not required.
I compared the high speed to releasing the Tasmanian Devil and found that it rips through a 6AH battery in 10 to 15 minutes. Therefore, I bought 2 10AH batteries which last fairly long to get the job done.
I like the low and high speeds of the trimmer. The low speed works well on shorter grasses.
