About Sporzon! Cast Iron Plate Weight Plate
Overall Feedback:
81% positive
79% praised its stylish design, while 21% found it unattractive
The design of the weight plates is great for use with benches, bars, machines, and hand-held exercises. They have a tactile feel for easy usage on a variety of exercises as opposed to their flat counterparts.
The pair of plates seem to be from slightly different molds and either different types of metal or a different heating and cooling process.
The handle grooves for an outside hold and the hole shape for an inside hold are uncomfortable/awkward.
The edges of the weights are sharp and unrefined, requiring some hand sanding or polishing to avoid any health issues.
78% praised for its high-quality plates, while 22% found them flimsy
I am satisfied with the product and it is great.
At our commercial gym, the Sporzons! are of better quality than the iron plates. They are easier to grasp and weigh accurately.
The product's coating does not withstand initial usage attempts.
I am concerned about the poor quality control of the product, which could potentially lead to injury over time.
79% liked the perfect size and fit, but 21% found the hole tight
The edges, including the center hole, are clean and smooth and the plate fits the bar perfectly.
I am frustrated with the size and fit of the strength-training plates. They are not compatible with my existing equipment. It doesn't make sense to have different weight plates with different hole diameters. All weight plates should have a 1.15in dia. hole to fit both 1in. and 1.15in. bars and handles.
71% liked the accurate weight markings, but 29% found them off by a few pounds
I am pleased that the weight plates are consistent and the same weight, even though they are rarely exact.
The weights are cast iron plates and should not be dropped due to their weight.
I haven't checked the weight of the plates to see if they are true to weight as advertised, but they are not rusty.
I received plates with rust spots and did not weigh them for accuracy, indicating that I have used them and observed the rust spots myself.
The design of the weight plates is great for use with benches, bars, machines, and hand-held exercises. They have a tactile feel for easy usage on a variety of exercises as opposed to their flat counterparts.
I was disappointed with the design and aesthetics of the strength-training-plates as I was expecting a regular barbell size, but the weights were small and did not fit a regular barbell.
These plates do not have any downsides like strong smell or being greasy to the touch, unlike cheaper weights.
