About BalanceFrom Color Coded Olympic Bumper Plate Weight Plate with Steel Hub
Overall Feedback:
73% positive
68% praised its stylish design, while 32% found it unattractive
These plates are versatile and can be used for Olympic lifts such as snatches and clean and jerks, as well as powerlifting exercises like deadlifts and squats.
If I have the money and am concerned about aesthetics, then these plates are not for me.
For my needs, the orange weights cannot be used for deadlifts as they fold when placed on the ground, making them useless.
The new 15-pound plates are not aesthetically pleasing.
69% praised for its high-quality plates, while 31% found them flimsy
The rubber material used in these bumper plates is of high quality and does not have a strong odor like some other plates.
I feel that the plates are sturdy, but I cannot say they are of great quality.
The strength-training plates had a rubber-like material and gave me a headache with a bad smell that lingered even after wrapping them back up.
Rubber bends under its own weight and can be bent by touching it.
66% liked the perfect size and fit, but 34% found the hole tight
The plates fit perfectly on my barbell and have a nice snug fit, preventing any unwanted movement during lifts.
My experience with the 10lbs plate is that it bends on a 45lbs bar due to its skinny width.
There is a major flaw with the size of the plates, with some plates being as much as 0.25 inch difference, indicating a lack of quality control.
65% liked the accurate weight markings, but 35% found them off by a few pounds
The rubber on the weight plates is in poor condition.
These plates are versatile and can be used for Olympic lifts such as snatches and clean and jerks, as well as powerlifting exercises like deadlifts and squats.
The weight plates have little to no oil residue, rubber has a texture for easy handling, and different weights have different colors, which are all positives.
I noticed that the bumper coating is a bit thin compared to other gym plates with a thicker, rubbery material. These plates have a firm plastic/rubber coating which may not be as soft on the edge when dropped quickly.
