I can watch SD card or flash drive on this device without using a computer. It is easy to connect to the smart TV.
The device is very light and small, and it plugs into the HDMI on the DV7100 and plays movies and sound perfectly.
I needed to purchase a short HDMI cable and a low-profile USB drive because they did not come with my device.
After downloading the firmware and following the instructions, I can't connect the unit to the TV anymore.

I chose to order this player because the remote control layout is similar to the one I am replacing.
Every time I use the remote control, it interferes with the TV by shutting it off or switching channels.
The remote control has limited range and won't reach further than about 2 feet.
The NEUMI Atom remote control changes the TV to other modes, making it difficult to keep the TV in the right mode for watching movies.
