About Micca Speck G3 2K Quad-HD Digital Media Player
Overall Feedback:
84% positive
79% appreciated the connectivity options, but 21% wished more
I can connect the unit to my TV easily with its good features and settings, including output slots for HDMI, USB, or analog connections.
This device cannot load apps or support streaming.
When I hold the device firmly into an outlet, it only makes a connection, which is not only non-functional but also dangerous.
86% liked the remote control, but 14% didn't
The remote control is pretty nice, but batteries are not included.
The remote control requires pressing buttons very hard while aiming directly at the boxs sensor to get it to work.
I had to separate the device from the TV as the remote control was interfering with basic navigation on the device's home screen.
67% praised the streaming options, but 33% didn't
Some .m2ts videos work fine on my MICCA Speck 4K Ultra-HD digital media player, while some are not available.
I cannot stream or load apps on this device.
I cannot play a file without the play arrow on the screen over the video for a few seconds.
84% liked the intuitive user interface, but 16% found it cluttered
The user interface is a bit strange and I am unable to find the auto-turn off option. It does a quick reset when turned on, like a false start-up. However, it is still great for what it does.
The user interface is good, but other ways to view video files would be better.
The interface is a bit clunky, but understandable given the low price of the product.
The user interface with the Fisher Price remote control is clumsy.
The biggest drawback of the device is the lack of WiFi and the clunky user interface.
I found the interface difficult for kids and elderly to navigate.
78% appreciated the video quality, though 22% experienced issues
Once up and running, the video quality is excellent.
On all video settings, the picture is very choppy and the video quality is average.
The video quality of the player is not as good as my GoPro footage. I have to process the files to lower quality or it will give an error.
The video quality of the streaming media player is not good, especially in dark scenes. The blacks and darks are all blurred together making it even darker than it should be.
76% found the voice control convenient, but 24% faced issues
Without the remote, I cannot control the device.
The remote control requires pressing the buttons very hard while aiming directly at the boxs sensor to get it to work.
Sometimes, even with new batteries, I find the remote control hard to control.
I had to separate the device from the TV because the remote control was changing the channel on the TV while I was trying to navigate the device's home screen.
The model is from 2018 and may have issues with newer 5g wifi connectivity, but in my case, it did not exist.
