I faced issues with the remote of one of the tablets. It went through a set of batteries every 24 hours and one set the remote wont connect at all.
I have been experiencing issues with the stream locking up when I launch YouTube TV on the new Firestick, even after rebooting and ensuring a good wifi connection. Interestingly, I have no other issues with 2 other Firesticks. However, when I hooked up the old Firestick, the stream worked perfectly.
Certain apps need to be sideloaded, even if they are available for other devices in the Google Play Store.

I can now use my phone as a remote control, although I'm not sure why I would want to.
The remote control that comes with the Fire Stick has volume buttons, but they only control a TV via IR, not the Fire Stick's volume.
The remote control batteries only last for 2-3 days. I have wasted a box of batteries in less than a month. I remove the batteries when I am out using the fire stick to make them last longer.
The streaming media player lags constantly, randomly boots out of whatever I'm doing, and stops responding to the control (both the remote and the app).

I have to replace the batteries daily to keep it working, indicating that the remote consumes batteries quickly and has a problem with it.
