The 4th setting of the straightener is perfect for my wiry hair type, recommended at 325 degrees. I never get smooth hair with heat under 400 degrees.
I appreciate the temperature control feature of the straightener, with 9 heat settings and a wide variety to set the temperature depending on hair type.
I needed a straightener with temperature control because I let my hair go naturally gray and I have to be careful with the amount of heat I use.
I dislike the temperature control feature of the straightener. I prefer separate heat buttons and on/off buttons on my curling irons and flat irons, as it is more intuitive to control when you have separate buttons. I have to cycle through everything to get to another setting and have to memorize what light is what heat setting because it doesn't state it next to the lights.
