I have used the vacuum on various surfaces such as wood stairs, wood floor, linoleum, and low pile rug, and it performed great on all of them.

I need to empty the dustbin often as it is small and fills up quickly.
I was surprised to find that the dust compartment of the Shark vacuum is very small. I had to empty it three times while vacuuming it for the first time.
The waste bin needs to be emptied at least once during and after using it as it is too small.

I bought the Shark vacuum to replace a couple of battery powered vacuums that never seemed to have enough power or battery life, indicating that the Shark vacuum has better battery life and power.
I don't have to worry about power drain with a battery operated vacuum.
I desire a cordless and effective vacuum that lasts more than 10 to 15 minutes without having a 3 hours or more charging time, despite being fully delighted with my current vacuum.
I have previously owned several cordless stick vacuums and could not vacuum for more than 20 minutes before the battery ran out. I went through 3 cordless vacuums in 4 years.

The suction power of the vacuum is incredible. It pulled out dog hair from the carpet which was not visible.
I picked up everything with the vacuum cleaner and was shocked to see the entire canister filled with dog hair.
The suction power is so strong that it can even pull up flattened carpet fibers, leaving them feeling plush and wonderful after vacuuming.
I replaced my cordless vacuum with this one, but I did not find the suction any more powerful. It struggles with areas of different heights like the transition from rug to bare floor.

I have noticed that the filters get dirty with fine particle dust and need to be cleaned. It is important to completely air dry the filters before putting them back to avoid mildew and smelly exhaust in the room when using the vacuum.
