About Onkyo TX-8270 2 Channel Network Stereo Receiver
Overall Feedback:
81% positive
88% found the sound quality exceptional, but 12% didn't
I am disappointed with the sound quality of the stereo-receiver. It sounds weak and boring compared to my 40W NAD from the 80s which sounds 5x more powerful.
When I connect anything to the internet, the sound quality on this receiver is terrible. However, it is good otherwise.

I can use my tablet to stream music services with the Onkyo TX-8270 receiver after downloading the Onkyo Controller app. I can turn on the receiver, choose a Pandora station, and adjust the volume, treble, base, subwoofer volume, etc.
I can control both zones from the app and turn on zone 2 without turning on the main receiver, which is a really nice feature in a whole house setup.

93% were satisfied with the connectivity options, but 7% weren't
With a wired connection, I can only talk to a Mac through Airplay, which caps everything to 16/44. This is not ideal as I am paying a premium for a 24/192 capable DAC.
I am disappointed with the sound quality of the stereo-receiver. It sounds weak and boring compared to my 40W NAD from the 80s which sounds 5x more powerful.
I initially found the volume control too-fine grained, but later discovered that it is speed sensitive, making big adjustments when turned fast and fine adjustments when turned slowly.
I upgraded to Onkyo TXSR-393 from the older TXSR-373 mainly for the support of 4K UHD and most importantly support for Dolby Atmos and DTS X. It makes all the difference for sound and home theater audio.
I found the setup of the stereo-receiver easy and appreciated the speaker outputs accepting banana plugs, the subwoofer output, and labeled RCA inputs.
