About Marantz STEREO 70s 2-Ch AV Receiver (75W X 2) - 4K/120 and 8K Compact Home Theater Receiver
Overall Feedback:
83% positive
84% found the sound quality exceptional, but 16% didn't
I noticed that the clarity and bass detail are a noticeable improvement even on low listening volume.
The AirPlay 2 feed produces decent sound but lacks bass and details compared to my other vintage receivers.
82% were impressed with the power output, but 18% weren't
I noticed that the new stereo-receiver has 75 watts per channel compared to the previous one which had 140 watts per channel. I also think that it gets loud more cleanly than the previous one and can get plenty loud.
The stereo receiver provides excellent sound quality with ample power for small to medium listening areas.
I have an older SR4023 which is not as powerful as the NR1200, but it sounds better and fills my listening space with ample volume at 85wpc.
80% found it compatible.
The A/V receiver meets all my needs and provides good stereo sound quality via Bluetooth, WiFi, CD player, and digital optical audio from my TV. It is also compact and easy to fit in my TV stand's cabinet.
76% were satisfied with the build quality and durability
The amp has a better cooling system on high volume with the same size heatsink and power supply as NR17xx, but with 2 channels a few inches apart instead of 7.
91% were satisfied with the connectivity options, but 9% weren't
I chose this model over a more expensive one because of its connectivity and streaming capabilities.
The stereo receiver requires wifi internet connection at setup, which can be difficult if I don't have or want one.
The 2800H has enough power output to bring music to life in my listening position, bump it to my kitchen two rooms over, or watch at theater-level volume in my medium-sized living room with 8-foot ceilings.
I purchased a Marantz NR1403 AV Receiver in 2014 to pair with a set of KEF towers I received as a gift. It worked very well, but was not able to connect to my home network. So, I decided to upgrade with pretty much the exact same thing as I was happy with the NR1403, but with the ability to hook into the home network via LAN or WiFi.
