About Marantz NR1510 UHD AV Receiver Slim 5.2 Channel Home Theater Amplifier
Overall Feedback:
80% positive
77% found it compatible.
I purchased a Marantz NR1403 AV Receiver in 2014 to pair with a set of KEF towers I received as a gift. It worked very well, but was not able to connect to my home network. So, I decided to upgrade with pretty much the exact same thing as I was happy with the NR1403, but with the ability to hook into the home network via LAN or WiFi.
90% found the sound quality exceptional.
I love the sound quality of my new Marantz 1510 avr. It has improved the sound of my Bose 301s, Klipsch sf1s, and Bowers and Wilkins center speaker. It beats my older Sony.
74% were satisfied with the connectivity options
I moved my Marantz NA6006 network player to the 1510 and connected it. My iPhone and laptop streamed music flawlessly for hours via Bluetooth.
I have connected the receiver to my Sony Bravia TV via HDMI using the eARC port and configured the TV to use the CEC function. I can use my TV remote to control the Marantz volume. Sometimes, I use the Marantz remote to change the sound mode or access any of the NR1510 menus.
I connected the NR 1510 to my home network wirelessly and then switched to the LAN hardwired connection for my home networking. I have never had any issues with any networked functions or updates.

I find the menus on this stereo-receiver to be dated looking but perfectly functional, with lots of options and a decent layout.

I love the sound quality of my new Denon AVRS970H receiver and have compared it with my older Onkyo TXSR444 receiver with Dolby Atmos. Based on my experience, there is a noticeable difference in sound quality.
I find the menus to be not user-friendly, the display to be small and not informative, and adjusting EQ is impossible without disabling some of the Audessy features. This shows my negative feedback with respect to the user interface of stereo-receivers.
I found the setup of the stereo-receiver easy and appreciated the speaker outputs accepting banana plugs, the subwoofer output, and labeled RCA inputs.
