About Pyle PT888BTWM 1000W Bluetooth Home Theater Karaoke Receiver
Overall Feedback:
78% positive
69% highlighted the user interface, but 31% didn't
The speaker has a versatile user interface with a full compliment of various inputs, outputs and controls, including balanced inputs, to fit most any application.
I noticed that the stereo-receiver has a mode select button which causes a loud voice to announce the input being switched to.
I have complained about the extremely bright and erratic flickering of the blue LED light when no device is connected. A more subtle user interface would make the device more pleasant to use.
I have complained about the loud and prolonged voice prompts that play each time the device is connected. A simple beep would suffice.
76% found the sound quality exceptional.
The sound quality of the speakers is excellent with an unusually tall and deep sound stage, excellent space between instruments, and great mid range and highs. They really shine with female vocals and maintain clarity even at moderately high volume.
71% were satisfied with the connectivity options
The stereo-receiver has a full compliment of various inputs, outputs and controls that can fit most any application.
The Pyle PBKSP22 speakers have multiple ways to be connected and can even play tracks directly from a USB drive. However, I have only tested the BT connectivity.
72% found it compatible.
The stereo-receiver has a full compliment of various inputs, outputs and controls to fit most any application.
I found it easy to set up and link the speakers, despite an odd speaker wire connection on the powered speaker. I wired the two speakers together with a straight tip jewelers screwdriver. The passive speaker has the more traditional style +/- terminals. Once wired together, they are linked.
The speaker has a versatile user interface with a full compliment of various inputs, outputs and controls, including balanced inputs, to fit most any application.
The remote has more and less functionality than the front panel. You can select which audio input to use but cannot set output levels for any one of the 4 pairs of speakers which it supports, just the master volume. The front panel doesn't have a knob to tune AM or FM channels, you have to manually enter the frequency on the remote.
I am using the unit as an external mini-amp connected to my main 15 channel AVR receiver to power a pair of additional Atmos speakers. It works perfectly and produces excellent sound.
The stereo-receiver has cosmetic and functional defects. It has an AM/FM button that cycles through both choices when selecting input mode, which is redundant and annoying. Additionally, it does not recall the previous volume level or input mode from the last power-off.
