I received 3 steam pads from Bissel that can be washed in the washing machine and reused. They are made from terry cloth and elastic.
I recommend buying additional pads and using about 6 pads to clean the floors. After every use, I wash them in the washing machine.

The steam mop takes some time to heat up, but once it does, it produces enough steam to clean the floors without making them too wet. I give it about 10 minutes to dry and my hardwoods feel barefoot clean.
