About Sunbeam GCSBCL 202 000 Steam Master 1400 Watt Non-Stick Soleplate Iron
Overall Feedback:
68% positive
81% were impressed with water tank capacity, while 19% weren't
The water reservoir is adequate, so I don't have to constantly refill.
The water tank is easy to fill with bottled water and has a cover over the fill hole.
If the water level is close to the max line, the water tank leaks from the bottom end.
68% found the temperature control helpful, yet 32% faced problems
The heating system fluctuates based on usage and has a safety feature that cools it down after sitting, based on my experience.
The temperature switch on the iron is located behind the handle, making it difficult to see.
I may not use the iron as the temperature knob is rigid and requires two hands to turn.
The temperature control dial is problematic as the indicators wear off quickly with regular use, making it difficult to set the right temperature. It's a frustrating experience for me.
76% liked the steam output, however 24% didn't
I love the powerful steam in my iron, especially the fantastic and super powerful vertical steam.
I was impressed with the amount of steam produced by the iron and how it helped in ironing-out wrinkles.
I loved that the iron produced a lot of steam with just one push of the button.
The steam output is okay, but it heats up slowly, which might be a problem for those used to continuous steam while ironing.
To produce steam, I have to use the steam button as the cotton setting is too hot for some fabrics.
84% liked the steam burst function
I am satisfied with the steam burst function of the steam-iron. The steam blast and water sprayer work flawlessly and there are no leaks so far.
I like the steam burst function of the iron as it can knock wrinkles out of clothes.
85% found the design lightweight
The iron has an attractive design and is lightweight enough for easy gliding.
68% appreciated the auto shut-off, whereas 32% raised concerns
The product has auto shut-off when idle, along with other features like retractable cord, long power cord and economic price, which make up for the awkward position of the heat dial.
Sometimes I forget to turn it off when the day gets busy, but the auto shut-off feature comes in handy.
The iron blinks red for auto shut off in the time it takes to move your shirt to a different spot.
86% appreciated the anti-drip feature, whereas 14% raised concerns
I found that the vertical steaming feature is not the best as it left splotches of water on my dress.
I tested the auto shut-off feature of the steam iron and found it effective. The iron turned off automatically and the light continued to flash as it cooled, indicating it was still plugged in.
It is difficult to see how much water is in the tank as the blue plastic is not as easy to see through as clear plastic.
