About Rowenta DA1560 Travel-Ready 1000-Watt Compact Steam Iron Stainless Steel Soleplate
Overall Feedback:
76% positive
76% were impressed with water tank capacity, while 24% weren't
On steam setting, water is not coming out of my steam-iron.
84% found the temperature control helpful, yet 16% faced problems
I had to press everything at the same time to make it heat eventually, and there is no lamp indicator to show when it is heating.
The temperature dial is hard to turn and it's difficult to determine the temperature it's set on.
The temperature dial is difficult to turn because it is too tight and not conveniently located.
I have faced an issue with the temperature control dial of the iron. The first iron I received had a problem with it, and the second one is also having the same issue.
84% liked the steam output, however 16% didn't
I find the iron worthless as it is not producing steam.
I faced a problem with the steam output of my steam-iron. The steam sputtered and shut off completely when held vertically while pushing the burst of steam button.
78% liked the steam burst function, although 22% encountered issues
The steam burster of my iron does not work at all.
I had trouble getting a big burst of steam. This iron is not intended for it, despite claiming to have the feature.
I have noticed that the iron does not steam on its own on the steam setting like it should, and only steams if you push the burst of steam button. This is contrary to my earlier experience of liking the iron because of the great steam setting.
89% found the design lightweight
I find the iron to be lightweight and strong, designed for easy folding. It's important to follow the instructions while using it.
The steam-iron is lightweight and compact, making it easy to take to quilt group.
67% appreciated the auto shut-off, whereas 33% raised concerns
I burned out my iron by leaving it plugged in because it does not have an auto shut off feature. I recommend unplugging it when not in use.
84% appreciated the anti-drip feature, whereas 16% raised concerns
Sometimes the iron drips after filling the water container. This happens with my larger Rowenta and almost every other iron I've used.
The rubber stopper was supposed to keep the water in, but it didn't and water was on my ironing board.
I have noticed that the vertical steam feature stopped working after infrequent use over the last year.
When I held the steam vertically and pushed the burst of steam button, it sputtered and shut off completely.
Filling the water tank is a bit cumbersome and the dark tinted plastic for the tank makes it hard to see the water level.
