I have found the mop pads to be effective in cleaning grim, grit, and dirt off the floors. I have attached a photo showing how dirty the mop pad gets after cleaning the floor where my dog sleeps. Another photo shows a laundered mop pad next to an unused one, which demonstrates my satisfaction with the product's cleaning performance.
