Assembling the bike was a breeze, taking only 20 minutes. The YouTube video was helpful and there were very few parts to assemble, with screws already in the necessary holes.

I got a pair of pedals with toe clips from a local bike shop and it made an immediate difference. The pedals attached right onto my bike with no problems.
I found that the left handle pivot point was missing a washer, causing the left peg to squeal against the bearing.
My right pedal fell off while starting and the metal threading is coming out. Now it won't go back in.
The pedals and arms have poor machine tolerances and are square pegs. They will round off after a year or two and need to be replaced. I have also broken more parts trying to disassemble the bike to fix the first problems.
