About TOPELER USB Wall Outlets, 3-Port USB C Outlet Receptacles
Overall Feedback:
96% positive
95% liked its compatibility with various devices, but 5% found limitations
Once installed, the centered standard USB and USB-C outlets are easy to use.
The receptacle has only one screw terminal per pole, which is a problem because most receptacles in a home are on a chain of several outlets.
92% appreciated its sleek design, though 8% found it unattractive
The outlet design is sleek and modern, fitting seamlessly into various interior styles.
After initially having doubts, I found the snap-on faceplate to be much cleaner and aesthetically pleasing once installed.
I have noticed a minor flaw in this product when replacing an existing wall receptacle.
95% praised for its durability, though 5% experienced premature wear
The wall outlet materials are durable and reliable for daily use.
The receptacle only has one screw per pole, which is different from most receptacles that have two screws or two push-in connections.
96% found it easy to install, but 4% encountered difficulties
The absence of quick-connect holes for wiring makes the installation process more time-consuming and effort-requiring. This is a negative feedback from me with respect to the ease of installation of standard-electrical-outlets.
To install this receptacle and meet local electrical codes, I need to fashion a pigtail and then connect 2, 3 or even 4 wires with a wirenut or other device like a wago connector.
84% appreciated the advanced safety features, although 16% found them inadequate
This receptacle has a minor flaw when replacing an existing wall receptacle as there is only one screw terminal per pole (hot, neutral).
I have complained that the front face plate of the outlet is too thick, making it difficult for a standard electrical cord plug to stick through and get to the contacts. The standard plug prong is only 5/8in long, leaving only 1/8in to get a good contact and grab the prong, which can cause the plug to fall out easily and may not meet UL listing criteria.
I faced issues while installing the outlet as it would not clamp down on the wires no matter what I did.
