About Senville AURA Series Mini Split Air Conditioner Inverter Heat Pump
Overall Feedback:
92% positive
85% found the ventilation options useful, while 15% were indifferent
I am satisfied with the remote controller of the air conditioner as it works well even when the unit is installed high above the door leading to the deck.
I am satisfied with the smart features of the split-system-air-conditioners and strongly recommend them.
I am satisfied with the remote control feature and turn off the units when not needed.
I am disappointed with the app control as it has been walking back ever since, which is not a good look.
The wifi adapter only accepts Amazon alexa connections and the senville app among other medea's are not supported, indicating a lack of compatibility with other devices.
Customer service suggested using the remote control as the thermostat, which is a cool feature, but unfortunately, it usually doesn't work right.
87% were impressed with the noise level, yet 13% found it slightly bothersome
At first, I thought the outside unit was not working because it was so quiet.
The fan noise is a little loud and it could be a problem if I use it inside a house where sound matters.
I find the lack of fan control in heating mode and loud beeps every time I hit a button to be the biggest annoyances with these. Additionally, some of the outdoor units have a whine in the fan bearing which is pretty annoying.
90% appreciated the less maintenance, while 10% faced issues
To get warranty, I have to have an HVAC contractor do an evac and leak down test.
85% found it quick to install, yet 15% encountered difficulties
Installing the equipment was easy, but finding a qualified person for vacuuming evacuation and leak test was difficult and expensive.
It took me 6 hours to install the air conditioner with electrical, plumbing and refrigeration.
I found the installation process difficult because of the need to bend a 5/8 copper pipe at two places.
The installation process took some time and patience. I used a vacuum on the line before releasing the freon into the system. YouTube videos were helpful for installation.
I quickly concluded that the installation was improper when there was an issue.
86% liked the cooling capacity
I was worried about the cooling capacity of the 24000 btu unit, but I was amazed at how well and quickly it cools.
I bought the Senville Aura 18,000 and had it installed by my handyman for my cabin north of Sedona, AZ. I could have gone with a smaller unit, but for such a small amount of money to go tip to the 18,000 btu, it seemed prudent to make sure I had plenty of capacity. I have used it for both heating during the winter and for cooling this summer and found it fantastic. When I arrived at my cabin, it was slightly warm inside, around 79. I set the unit to 75 and within 15 minutes, the entire living room and kitchen areas felt very comfortable.
I am satisfied with the remote controller of the air conditioner as it works well even when the unit is installed high above the door leading to the deck.
I find the split-system-air-conditioner to be very useful with its extra features like follow me, universal remote and ability to make it smart.
