I have a remote for my air conditioner which saves me from burning up in hot weather.
The remote control of the split-system-air-conditioner needs to be faced perfectly at the top or it will not work.

The air conditioner has a filter on the top quarter of the unit that is easy to clean and opens so I can even vacuum the coils at the top. Almost the bottom half is a vent that can't be opened so vacuum and condensed air is the best I can do. This shows the maintenance requirements of split-system-air-conditioners.
