About Yamaha ATS-2090 36" 2.1 Channel Soundbar and Wireless Subwoofer
78% liked the sound quality, yet 22% expressed dissatisfaction
At this price, the dialogue option and 3d sound are exceptional.
I have compared the sound quality of the Yamaha sound-bar with other sound systems I have used in the past and found it better than a solid set of 2.1 computer speakers at a similar price point.
This soundbar is the best sounding one I have ever heard in my life, even compared to some very expensive ones with similar quality.
The sound quality is excellent even though the system doesn't allow modification of acoustic levels beyond bass.

72% praised the connectivity range, yet 28% faced signal drop-offs
After realizing that the ARC connection requires a separate HDMI cable, I found it worked fine. The manual was missing and the quick start guide didn't address it.
I am unable to connect the soundbar to WiFi and upgrade the firmware.
76% found it easy to connect with smart assistants, although 24% faced issues
The soundbar works like an Echo smart speaker with voice commands.
I can connect the speaker to Alexa and if I try to talk to Alexa while doing other things, it will cut the sound off and play on the speaker.
I am dissatisfied with the compatibility of the sound-bar with Alexa. The volume on Alexa is always blaring and I wish there was an independent way to control the Alexa volume.
70% highlighted the subwoofer performance, but 30% found it lacking
The sound quality of Yamaha YAS-209BL soundbar/subwoofer system is excellent, even though it doesn't allow modification of acoustic levels beyond bass.
I love the wireless subwoofer and how it auto connects.
The subwoofer goes into protection mode by itself for no reason.
The sound-bar improved the mid-range sounds, but the subwoofer is weak even though we placed it in the corner of the living room to accentuate the bass response.

66% were impressed with the design
Yamaha has not disappointed me with the excellent build quality.
The soundbar can be mounted on the wall or set on a shelf.
70% appreciated the audio modes, however 30% found them redundant
I prefer to use the stereo mode as other modes seem artificial to me.
The ability to change sound contours for different events and soundstages is an excellent feature that adds a lot to our product.
The sound quality is terrible with no mid range, making the voices sound hollow and tinny.
I am not satisfied with any of the 6 preset EQ options this sound bar offers.
