Overall Feedback:
68% positive
82% praised the connectivity range, yet 18% faced signal drop-offs
Wireless connectivity via Bluetooth, Chromecast, and AirPlay worked perfectly.
The soundbar is earc compliant and works seamlessly with the TV's sound system as a native speaker. It also works incredibly well with very tight integrations if you have a recent generation Sony Bravia TV.
The sound-bar can be connected through various modes like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5 AUX, USB, HDMI with 2 in & 2 out and optical ports, providing a variety of possibilities and flexibility to use the device, including the option to connect it to a docking station.
Connectivity is proprietary and according to the documentation, non-recommended Sony-brand optional speakers cannot be paired.
71% found it easy to connect with smart assistants, although 29% faced issues
The soundbar is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant.
The soundbar supports all smart ecosystems and has inbuilt chromecast and alexa integration.
The sound-bar effortlessly pairs with compatible satellite speakers and subwoofer. It also connects to Wi-Fi for the latest firmware update, improving the system and optional ecosystem.
The soundbar can connect to any device on the same Wi-Fi network that is compatible with such connections, including phones, Google Home, and Alexa.
The built-in subwoofer performs exceptionally well in terms of bass, even though it's not a separate unit.
I am impressed with the wireless subwoofer performance of the sound-bar. It's great to see companies putting out surround sound systems with wireless rear/subwoofers. It's a relief to be able to do this without having to run wires everywhere, and to have it automatically adjust to room acoustics.
Pairing the soundbar with a subwoofer and high-end Sony television provides a great theater experience at home.
The soundbar has two built-in subwoofers and special beam tweeters that provide a perfect balance for highs and lows. I also mentioned the frequency test results.
72% were impressed with the design, nevertheless, 28% weren't
The soundbar is designed to be easy to setup, even for non-techies like me.
The sound bar has Sony's X-Balanced Speaker technology, which uses rectangular speakers instead of traditional round ones.
I appreciate the durable build quality of the soundbar and the fact that the grille is not removable, which is a plus point if you have kids who like to pull things off.
The soundbar has a luxurious style with a high-end design made up of black metal, fabric, and glass.
I recommend turning on 360 Spatial Sound Mapping for a more immersive surround sound experience that includes Atmos.
I have read that this soundbar is an excellent audio platform for gaming with its two HDMI 2.1 passthrough inputs capable of 8K, 4K at 120Hz, and Dolby Vision HDR, although there is no setting specific for gaming.
During playback, I can adjust the bass levels between three modes and individually adjust the sound level of each speaker or set of speakers in the range of -6.0 dB to 6.0 dB, serving as an equalizer.
I have noticed that the sound bar has different audio modes and sound effects, each appropriate for the type of audio being broadcast and with noticeable differences.

This Sony HT-A7000 sound bar produces the best audio I have ever experienced from any sound bar I have owned.
I can effectively test the sound bar by playing high quality music through 3 months free of Amazon Music.
I can control a lot of the effects and sound settings in my 'music center' app. I adjust and tweak the bar to my listening taste depending on what genre or experience I want to listen to.
The sound quality is next level, making you feel like you're at a live concert or event.

I appreciate the multiple audio modes and quick tuning buttons on the remote, making it easy to access different audio modes without cycling through them all.
The sound quality is amazing with selective modes for cinema and voice focus that work great, even though it's not a movie theater system.
